Parenting Village

Parenting Village fosters the health and well-being of children and families in the Rochester area by providing support and connection to all families via the Nurture, Circle, and Connection programs.

  • Nurture– a home-based peer support program for families with babies. Volunteers visit parents/caregivers in their homes and offer support over three months. Support varies among families and may include for example: providing a listening ear, help holding the baby, fixing a snack, or sorting laundry.
  • Circle– professionally-facilitated drop-in supportive groups for parents/caregivers.
  • Connection– an annual family festival connecting families with local resources; and community gatherings that bring families together to decrease isolation and increase support.

At Parenting Village, we believe supported parents are parents at their best and that it truly takes a village to raise a child.
