BASIC NEEDS

Affordable Housing

We deliver holistic programming and resource linkage to residents at a local, affordable housing complex, The Rochester Highlands. Programming including case and resource management, nursing services, educational workshops, exercise instruction and child programming are available for utilization by residents.

Brighton Food Cupboard

The Brighton Food Cupboard, a program of Jewish Family Services, is committed to the prevention and reduction of hunger and food insecurity for individuals and families living in Brighton and surrounding communities. Each client interacts with our social worker and receives case management services.

Brighton Your Wardrobe

Brighton Your Wardrobe, a partnership of Jewish Family Services and Brighton Central School District, offers free clothing to the children, individuals, and families living in or attending the Brighton School District who are in need.

Financial Assistance

If you are facing an inability to cover your basic needs, Jewish Family Services (JFS) can help. JFS is here to advocate for those most vulnerable in our community.

Groceries-to-Go

In an effort to connect volunteers who can bring groceries and supplies to those in high-risk demographics, Jewish Family Services (JFS) has implemented a Groceries-to-Go program. Groceries-to-Go aims to connect volunteer shoppers with individuals who can afford their groceries but are currently unable to get to the store themselves.

Pencils and Paper

The Pencils & Paper program, a program of Jewish Family Services, serves the educational and creative needs of children in the greater Rochester area by providing free school supplies to teachers in high poverty schools. Teachers can shop twice a year and receive an estimated $1,400 worth of school supplies at each shopping trip.
