These are challenging times for many who live in or attend school in the Brighton Central School District. If you need clothes for you or your children Brighton Your Wardrobe (BYW) can help. BYW is a partnership of Jewish Family Service (JFS), the Brighton Central School District (BCSD), and community volunteers.
How Does Brighton Your Wardrobe Work?
- BYW offers free clothing to the children and families living in or attending the Brighton Central School District who are in need
- BYW has regularly scheduled hours and is also open by appointment
- BCSD students in need of clothing can contact their school counselor to arrange a visit to BYW or they can visit during normal hours of operation.
BYW Hours
Brighton Your Wardrobe is currently closed for walk-ins. We are accepting clean winter clothing Monday - Friday mornings 9:00 am. - 12:00 noon. Donations can be left in the RED bin outside Brookside School, Door #16 If you have any questions about BYW or need clothing, please contact Julie Kashtan (585) 270-4311 or byw@jfsrochester.org.

Volunteering
Volunteer opportunities at Brighton your Wardrobe include sorting clothing, hanging clothing, maintaining the boutique like atmosphere of BYW and assisting customers while they shop. For more information, please fill out our online application.

Donate to BYW
BYW accepts tax deductible donations of clothing in all sizes, infant to adult. Please drop your gently used, clean clothing donations off at the Brookside School Building at 220 Idlewood Rd, Rochester, NY 14618 (9 am - 12 noon pm Monday - Friday). Donations can be left in the RED bin outside door #16.
BYW Needs:
- Winter clothing
Coats
Boots
Snow-pants
Hats and gloves
Sweatpants, sweatshirts, hoodies
- New underwear and socks
BYW Does NOT Accept:
- Household items including towels and bedding
- Bathing-suits
- Used underwear and socks
Sponsor a Shelf - Clothing Drive
Thank you for taking this opportunity to participate in our Sponsor a Shelf or conducting a Clothing Drive. Your community organization, school, class or grade, church, synagogues, private business, families or individuals can provide free clothing to children and families living in or attending the Brighton Central School District via Brighton Your Wardrobe.
